2022 has essentially proven that central bank printing is a necessity to sustain rising asset prices.  We saw it proven in the fourth quarter of 2018 too as the yield on the 10 Year US Treasury bond reached 3.2% in the United States ... and our central bank turned around immediately and resumed printing money and pushing interest rates back down.

For those paying attention, there is a simple formula at work:  an ever-increasing quantity of money drives asset prices upward.  A retracting supply of money logically suggests asset prices decline.

This simple mathematical equation is largely ignored in schools, on Wall Street and in the mainstream media. History is full of examples of how it works, why it works, and happens when it is put in reverse or simply fails to work any longer.

The best way to understand it is to devote some time to understanding what money is and how it has been managed (quantity expansion and reduction) throughout history.  Understanding money's history can help investors make informed decisions today.
